The Dead Sea Scolls refer to a group of Hebrew scrolls found by a shepard boy who was wandering the hills around 1949. The scrolls themselves were dated between 250BC and 68AD. Not knowing what he found and how valuable they were to history, archaeology and religion for that matter, his family actually burnt some of them to make a fire and to help keep them warm. My knowledge is sketchy at best because its been over 20 years since I've read anything on the subject; but I think the Dead Sea Scrolls date back to the Essenes and their writtings. And Qumram was the city or the location where archaeologist place the Monestary of Qumram or the Essenic Community during the Palestinian Era when Jesus lived. I am not so sure if Qumram has ever been located though, but you could try doing a web search to find out. All I know is, there is a body of water called the Dead Sea but some historians say it should read the Red Sea or the Sea of Reeds.
In the Preface of "The Dead Sea Scriptures" by Theodor H. Gaster it says:
"They formed part of a library of a religious brotherhood located at Qumram, but not all of them were necessarily composed in the first palce by or for members of that community. The latter may simply have adopted them out of a body of traditional literature dealing with that future regenerated House of Isreal which they were seeking to create.
The Dead Sea Scrolls and the religious movement which they depict help us to reconstruct the spiritual climate of early Christianity and throw light especially on the mission of John the Baptist and on the constitution of the primative Church. But the Scrolls contain no anticipation of, or parallel to distinctive Christian doctrines, e.g., Incarnation, Vicarious Atonement or Communion."

I'm new to this site, but I liked reading all of this. I've always been struggling with religion. Cosmeta, you do a lot of writing over your beliefs in religion, and I would love to hear them all, in truth. Do you have a particular area of your site where you write about it? I would like to read it.

Hello again, OpenBook. Yeah, I have a lot of opinions about my own christian religion; but I am a novice to be sure. You will find I make comments throughout this CS forum. As far as a particular place in my site, .... wish I had more time to write all that I would love to write about. But for now, the only place where I have expressed my religious beliefs would be in my Bible Study section and also in my Song of Mark section where I did a paraphrase of Mark's Gospel. You can find them both by using my top menu or side menu.

Hello. I have some serious health issues at the moment, involving my heart and arteries/veins and inflammation in my abdomen--stomach and pancreas.
I can see my aura in a mirror against a white background and it is odd to me. I see a thin line of pulsing glowing yellow--a sulphur bright yellow edged with a gold only on the right side of my body and a thin line of pulsing silver/white edged with a glowy "black-light" purple on my left side. Where they meet is at the top and bottom of my body with the silver overlapping into the gold half a few inches over centerline.
In the dark, in the mirror, I take on a rather pale lime greenish glow--like a glow-in-the-dark plastic with a blood red edge to it and it is slightly thicker and difuses into the surrounding darkness all around.
I have exploratory heart surgery coming up in 2 days and I would like to hear any ideas on the meaning of these colors.

Hello RavnG, A couple of comments about the colors: Purple is the color of transformation and black draws things to it. You have come upon the gold ray and the silver ray, therefore you would be able to work with the gold ray. If you see the malady as you believe it to be right now enfolded in purple and then on another "screen" if you will, see the malady or condition enfolded in the gold ray, you then issue, "Thank You God for my power to transform."
Gold is always good and could be an indication for a good outcome and quick, because you have come upon the silver ray, aka. "Quicksilver" for silver holds all the colors. Children understand this completely. It is good for adults to understand the colors also. I do not read auras, Cosmeta is inclined in that way; however of these colors mentioned, I do know something and have worked with these colors.
Thank you for sharing and in the magic of your telling, we have an opportunity to wish you well and a joyful outcome for all concerned with re: the surgery and healing. Some are concerned you never will see or know and some, such as the eyes of a medical professional above a mask, you will see concern so for ALL concerned then, and please do send love ahead before the procedure and perhaps ask your healing angels to go with you. Send love to the roadway and travelers along the way to the hospital, love to the hospital building itself, to the parking lot, to all the vehicles in the parking lot, to all patients, to all supplies and equipment, even to all furnishings, to all medical staff in attendance and to your physicians incl. anesthesiologists and surgeons and their helpers. Lots of love sent ahead is wise and prudent, and it will be waiting for you when you get there.
Since the color green is that of the heart and heart center, I would hold an image of green and even wear a green garment if you have one or carry something green with you.

First, welcome to CS Lady Raven. Secondly, whatever medical issues you are experiencing right now, I do wish you well and hope that you have a speedy recovery after your exploratory surgery.
Seeing and reading colors from the physical body can be much different than seeing and reading the emotional, mental or spiritual auras. Still, it is possible for us to be seeing a combination of the physical along with the emotional and/or mental aura. We can be seeing the place where they intersect, for example.
What you are describing is most unusual and would seem to suggest that you are in some kind of conflict because the right side of your body is saying something totally different than your left.
We can interprete ourselves by coordinating what we are thinking and feeling at the time of sight. But generally speaking, just seems to me that if you are seeing a pulsating yellowish energy that would be where your body is losing vital energy. If you are concerned by "black light" don't be. That is usually the place in our auric field where we are about to shift from one dimensional plane to another. It is remenescent of the black lines or spacing a scientist might see that separates one light spectrum ban of color from another. So just interprete it as a break of sorts.
And if I may, as I was typing out this response to you, over and over I am hearing in my head that it is not the pancreas but the liver which can and does effect the stomach. If you have any issues with the heart, it is probably unrelated but still needs medical attention.
Have the doctors check out your LIVER !

thank you both for your replies.
Cosmeta--I have hepatic Porphyria. My biggest concern about this proceedure is the drugs they have to give me including the contrast dye they will use and the sedatives--I have an unsafe drug list double column 10 pages long that I carry with me. There is a high risk of liver cancer with Poprhyria and I lost a cousin to it 4 years ago, younger than I am now.
I will hopefully let you all know how it went in a few days.

Try healing yourself with light and color.
Take a look at my chakra chart.

The color I have assigned to the liver is yellow.
Its healing ray would be violet.
* Use color in your meditations.
* Wear healing colors to balance your auric field
* Eat foods that contain the healing color ray you choose
* Try colored lightbulbs. ie. rose hue
* Try colored gems and crystals
Note: If you can get some asetate plastic, wrap it on the outside of a jar of plain water and then set it out in the sun for 3-6 hours if you can. Then drink it. The reason I say water is because it is the safest substance because it does not contain any chemicals. I even created glass or plastic filters by adhering plastic asetate over the make-shift lens, and then placed it in front of those spotlight type of lights.
Alternate rose and violet and silver to heal...

Dear Everyone,
I am OK. The procedure went well, they did not find any blockages or arterial plaque at all. Basically they do not know why I am not getting enough oxygen to my heart or why I am short of breath and numb in the limbs. I am sore and tired and must stay on rest and light duty for a few days. They used a titanium star closure on the femoral artery and I have to be careful of watching in case it leaks or breaks for about a week.

Hi Lady Ravyn,
So glad to know that you are okay. Truly good news. Just follow doctor's orders and rest for a spell and you will be fine.
As to shortness of breath or numbness in limbs, that could be so many things, it's hard to comment on. What I can do, is to tell you is what I noticed about myself several times during my adult life. Too much nicotene, being over weight, and having a lactose intolerance has caused both numbness and shortness of breath. I've found that when I elliminate milk and cheese products and byproducts, including, would you believe vitamin pills containing dry powered milk, my limbs no longer get as numb.
Now, I am not saying that any of the above relates to you or to your condition... but by way of analogy, I am wondering if you and your doctors have done a thorough rundown of anything you might be allergic like wheat gluton, etc; or of anything that your body may be rejecting naturally.
In any event... I am so glad you are home and okay.
