So, this is my first post on this website. I’ll introduce myself in it. I’m a 16 yr old high school student in a rural town in North America. I’m here to learn more and open up my mind more. I believe I have a degree of psychic ability in me, and prophetic ability. The last one is what this post is about. About two years ago I had a pointless prophecy. I had a dream where two blonde girls (one tall, one shorter) had two of our school desks scooted together in a darkish room, and then one dropped something and leaned over sideways, at a very painful angle to pick it up. About a week later, the school day was interrupted by a power outage during a group study session in Geography, Two girls I’ll refer to as S (taller one) and C (shorter one) were sitting together, side by side, desks scooted together, ignoring what we supposed to be doing. The power was out and it was dark, the only light came from two big windows at one side of the room, and it was stormy and darkish out there anyway. The shorter blonde knocked her camera off of her desk, and it hit the floor loudly, causing me to turn and look. Then she reached over and bent down in the exact manner I saw in my dream and picked the camera up, saying “Ow.”
I completely believe in prophecy, and I think I had one at that point. I have my reasons for believing I have psychic abilities, and I want to try and open both of these aspects of mine up. So that’s why I’m here.

Hi, and welcome to my website forum. Prophecy is possible and yes through our dreams. You will find that the more you are emotionally connected to people and events the truer your visions may become. So if this sort of thing is happening to you at age 16, you might want to start to keep a journal.
So---What other events have happened thus far, for you to say you have your reasons for thinking yourself psychic. What are you capable of and/or what would you like to talk about?

Hello Locke: " Pointless Prophecy" ???
I used to live in Lawrence Ind. outside of Indianapolis. Nice to meet you.
It is cool you had that dream and perhaps the reason you had that dream was to open you up to your possibilities and gifts. There is one word of caution in learning. Discernment. When much is given, much is required. Be responsible and conscious of what you think , say , and do. Take your time and don't rush. When the student is ready the master appears. Why are you here is a broad question. Define here! Many people wonder why we are here on Earth in this dimension and in this time for what reason. I think it is really cool that at 16 years old you are able to ask those questions and inquire about it on the Internet. At 16 I was not thinking about much except surviving high school and getting my drivers license. I think you can learn some interesting things here on this site. Discern what could be true for you and store it away to be weighed out thru the scale of knowledge and wisdom weights and measures. Listen to that still small voice inside one may call your higher self. Be cool and stay on a righteous path if you can! If not that will be lessons for you. Take it from someone who found out the hard way many times. Peace! Rev. TomCat

Discernment is always a wise road to follow, Rev... but I think at age 16 there is plenty of room to experiment, faulter, trip, stumble and fall. To err is divinely human. It is also a tall order to ask a 16 year old to find their higher self and/or small voice within let alone listen to it. That could take years Rev, as you well know. Patients in understanding is the key, in my not so humble opinion. I agree with your generalized assessment... some interesting dialog on this site.... But my advice to our newcomer would be, don't believe everything you see just because it is in black and white because bulletin boards are nothing more than posted opinions. And that would go for the things I write also. ~smile.

Thank you, but I came here for the reason that I need guidance. As far as reasons for believing this, I have thoughts about what a person will say and I am surely right 99% of the time. I try to go and think about what makes a person do things, their motivation. I can read into most people usually, save for one guy whose mind is higher up than mine I believe. To me he seems a blank. This tells me I have room to improve a lot. I want to be able to skim the surface on him as well, I want to just understand. This is my way, to know, to think, to understand. This is why I'm here. I need guidance. I am lost in religion, in life, and I need to understand myself, I needto understand how what I believe I can do fits into religion. By the standards of my family, all I'm talking about here is taken as devil work and sins. I don't believe that. I think this is a gift from God.

I can emphasize with you, because where you are now, I once was. I can recall having experiences from age 5 on, but at the time, I was made to feel as though they were nothing more than the idle imaginings of youth. For many years this is what I accepted. And in a way, that became my protection because I could always fall back on my imagination instead of on the fear aspect. By the time I was in my teens I was having experiences that I could neither understand, feeling the presence of ghostly spirits and the like; seeing people's physical aura's as if I was looking into an x-ray. But for me, the constant reminder that I was imagining allowed me to remain silent and not tell anyone. Another protection to be sure, because I never had to explain myself to anyone, including my parents. And although it became safer, I still did not have the understanding I needed. So yeah---I can in a small measure understand what you are going through. It is indeed a lonely place to feel different and/or to have our experiences questioned by those we love. But to be sure, the psychic feelings you are experiencing is a gift from God. Your gift will be what you give back and what you decide to do with it. So yeah, I agree with RevT about discernment, but I also think that what makes a thing good or bad will always be our motivation and intent. Keep your thoughts pure and only good will return to you. Do no harm to another human or animal and the same can be said. That is what I believe.
So----I take it with your families emphasis on sin that you are being raised christian. If so, the only way for skeptics to accept us, is to try to find words that will fit into their world view. For example, were we to say, Spirit is talking to me, or the Holy Spirit is moving through me, they might find it more acceptable than for us to say, I am psychic. In other words, if we claim a gift without acknowleding God or Jesus we are automatically labled as followers of the devil or satanistic by others. Our job then is not to convince them; but merely to find ways and means to fit in. We can find bible verses to help support our views. For example, read I Corinthians, verse 12 or there abouts. You will find St Paul talking about Spiritual Gifts to his brethern.

Hey OB....I suggest that you seek out the works of Edgar Cayce, one of the most gifted psychics of all time, who was also a Christian. "There is a River" is a beautiful book about his life and how he developed his gift from a young age.

Reverend, hello, glad to see another Hoosier! Yes I've been in and out of Lawrence once or twice in my few years. So, surviving high school: Horribly tough, but it'll happen. Driver's license: Don't drive well, and it's a back burner sort of thing. I'll keep my eyes and ears open, but I'll try to pry my third eye open too. This is why I'm here, to open it. Learn and discern, I guess.
Cosmeta, I don't hear things, or see things, I get emotions and feelings. You by the sounds of it, had it a lot worse than I. Auditory experiences would be interesting. If I had a sort of auditory experience, I would be amazed, and grateful to whatever grace God has given me. Even barring anything other than what I know I have now, I'm so thankful I've been given this. I'm glad I found this place, because in reality I'm looking for somewhere to fit in, and this place does indeed seem like a place I need to be.
You asked what other events I've had happen to me, as far as prophecy, and if I am serious and honest, nothing nearly as provable to myself as that dream. However I do tend to go weeks without hearing a song sometimes, and suddenly have it stuck in my head, only to hear it the next day. I think it's far too often an occurence to be coincidence.

Hey OB;
That is cool. That same thing happens to me once in a while. I get a song in my head and then for some reason I turn on the radio and the song is on there. I'm more of a visual. I have dreams and visions in meditation. I hear people talking sometimes but can't really make out what they are saying. I get thoughts like just a word. Some word , I don't even know the meaning, til I go look it up or maybe I won't if I don't have the time. I have seen a TV show on TV when the TV was off. That lasted about two minutes. I have seen my deceased wife standing in my living room for about 5 seconds. Ya know, 5 seconds seems like a long time when you see stuff. I have physically seen 3 UFO's flying in and changing formation and the sighting was verified by State Police in three counties. I once had a thought about an earthquake and turned on the news and heard they had a bad earthquake in India. I had a thought my step daughter would cut her hand and in about one minute she did. I almost felt like I caused it, by thinking it. These are just some that have happened over my life time that just came to my memory. I'm sure there were more but none are popping up right now. They don't seem like anything I have ever been able to control, but they sure are cool when they happen. In the past 5 months I have been seeing 10:10, 11:11, and 12:12 at random during the day maybe twice a day. For some reason I will look at the clock on a Microwave or TV or regular clock and there it will be. I started telling people now, who are around me to look at the time. I would say to you OB, to be very observant and enjoy what you get!
You can visit my web site if you would like to see some of the visions I painted.

TL said that she had experience with UFO's also. Me... I am not so sure what to call what happened to me through the years. Used to draw aliens in middle-school and never knew why. Never knew why little silver men would suddenly appear on my bedroom wall when I was about age 5-7 before our first TV set. Haven't thought about that in years. I was once asking for a sign Rev to help ease the skeptical tension between my husband and I... and when we woke up one winter's morning after a 6 inch snow fall, a perfect 10 foot circle of snow melted in our backyard. And the grass underneath was bright green. At the time, my husband insisted that the sun melted it even though the sun had barely come up. I Do travel in a spacecraft during meditation and dreams though. But an actual siting... only once did I see what appeared to be a bright light in the sky that shot across the entire sky in less than a fraction of a second and at a 90 degree angle to where it had been. That same evening, I met a strange man who asked me to watch his cup. It was an ordinary cup of coffee mind you, but the feeling I got was something grander. If this happened to someone else they might have embarked on some great mission... but I just accepted it as a silent message from Spirit that I was on the right track. Oh yeah... and you might like this one.... Once heard an intone in my ear that startled me clear out of a sound sleep. It felt like God was talking to me through a giant megaphone or something. Really weird. That night was the night I received the message to start NOW the message said. I had no idea what I was supoose to start---and God's honest truth... I still do not. Ah well---
Is that who hooo enough for ya Tom. LOL.
Had a few personal fiends in life who claimed to have either seem flying sauces and/or who sware they were missing time or had been abducted. One woman even claimed stigmata. Personally.... I am not sure and do have my doubts. I say this because I think many unidentified sightings might be seeing auric lights or auric shapes. WDYT?
Anyone hear from PN lately....
I be missing her...

Auditory experiences can be challenging to say the lest...even weird at times...especially if one actually feels someone's breath on their neck as whispers enter the ear and/or they become persistent or overbearing in what they wish to impart. Only had that happen to me twice and did not like the feel of someone coming up behind me and not being able to see their face. I do hear church bells prior to someone departing this world however, and that is kind of pleasant under the circumstances. I have also heard celestial music a few times as well as the sound of the planetary AUM and that was way cool---even profound.
Through the years (I am now 60 btw) I've learned to reply upon my intuit so that I don't see or hear as much as I used to. I just have an automatic knowing or sense about things. Mostly concerning the mystical, as can be seen by my many posted messages here and elsewhere. But believe it or not, unless I have someone to converse with, if I open a blank page it will remain blank. But the minute I say inwardly, okay God, what can I say to this person to help them on their way, all of a sudden words just flow through my hand without prior forethought. So that in a way, we could say that when I respond here I am pulling in information from my higher self source... which always feels comfortable to me.
Buttom line is, if you are feeling things, just flow with it and God will lead you to where you need to be. If that place is CosZ Shack fine.... and if it leads you to other places, flow with that also.
Nice to have you onboard.
And btw, regarding Edgar Cayce, I do have some of his books listed on my website... Might even have There is a River listed at,

I would buy some of these books, but I'm rather poor. My family canceled Christmas yesterday, so I doubt I'll be able to get hold of any of these books unless I go into a book store and sit around reading one, which I don't really have the ability to get to. The internet is my only source, anbd I can no longer access that at home, I've been cut off from it because my English grade has fallen due to some complications where I was sick and severely depressed and definitely had no urge to do homework.
Nonetheless, when I can get online at school, I'll come back here as much as possible! Thanks for all your help so far Reverend, Cosmeta. And for bestowing a bit of your knowledge and advice.
BTW; who's PN?

In that case, try going here and looking up the sites I have listed under the category of Ancient Texts: http://www.cosmeta.com/links/newageLinks.html
And be sure to check out this site also,
http://www.theosophical.ca/OnLineDocs.htm
They have a great number of ONLINE books to read if you cant get to a library.
Many of the above may not be for your particular age bracket, but hold onto those links because in a few short years they will be. ~smile.
Christmas: When I was very young my parents had to forgo christmas presents also on a few occassions... but somehow we got by on handmade items or reshuffled items wrapped in left over brown paper store bags, etc. In other words, we exchanged what we already had even if it were a sock or hankerchief. Those years were very difficult especially for my mom, but when I look back those where perhaps the best years of my life because my family really pulled together; and that made us stronger and closer as a family.
PN is the username for a regular poster here and I havent seen her online if a few days is all.
Okay, so books aside... what else whould you like to talk about OB?

Not to brag, but by Fourth grade I was reading at college level, so I'll give those others a try too. I suppose it is worth a mention that I write fantasy novels, only one completed and as of yet unedited or unpublished. However, a recent story I've begun planning is about a boy who has experiences, he clearly remembers a few past lives, mostly the ones where he was a good, law abiding person. The two past lives he doesn't remember mainly are the two that have kept him on the physical plain, instead of allowing him to ascend. One is a murderer, while the other... well, my thoughts are to have the other major past life he doesn't remember be Judas of Gamala.
That doesn't mean I think ill of Judas, I've read some very interesting things around this site and other places that suggest to me the opposite of what most bibles will tell you. But theoretically speaking, it would be one reason his life is what it is, if you believe in karma.

No Cos ; Not much surprises me any more. When it does, it is like a shot of adrenaline. This morning I got up at 5 am and went to the bathroom. I don't usally turn the light on. Just so happens that my wife got there before me. I thought she was still in bed. As I entered the doorway, she said BOOO. Now that is what I'm talking about. My whole body shook. She thought that was real funny when I jumped. Forgive my spelling, I don't have time to correct it. Anyhow about my UFO's. I don't know what they were Cos, except, I saw three cigar saucer shaped lights with round ends, not pointed. They were orange yellow in color and glowed like if you held a flashlight under your hand. The color was constant on each and the glowed was solid, no varience. It was not a shine. They followed one behind each other in a straight line. Then one went above and one below and one behind after changing to this new formation. They went beyond view past some trees. I would say they were about 1000 feet off the ground and each was the size of a quarter if you held it up for comaprison. I dismissed what I saw as a possible reflection in my auto glass, until I found out hours later from my girlfriend's mother that they had seen three UFO's that night and they were reported by state police in three different counties. It was cool to have seen them but I drove home watching the sky out my car window in suspense wondering if they might be going to get me. Such was my story at age 18 and I can remember it almost as if it were yesterday. It was In Holidaysburg Pa. 1967 Rev. TomCat

Hey Reverend, I don't know if you ever looked around, but there were a couple interesting occurences that year. Near a lake in Manitoba Canada a man claims a UFO's exhausts burnt him, in Nova Scotia, a UFO supposedly crashed into Shag Harbor, and a Canadian Naval search followed.
Interesting couple of stories for one particular year. But I must wonder, where would a race of aliens fit into religion?

Something just happened. If you look thorugh this topic, I earlier told people that my family had decided to cancel christmas. This is due to extreme hardship financially. A few minutes ago I recieved very upsetting news. On the 29th, a credit card company is going to sue us, and on the 31st, the bank is going to forclose on our home. Very stressed out, I did the only thing I could think of. I prayed to God, to Jesus, to my higher self (Even though I'm still learning what that is) I prayed for forgiveness for my numerous sins, and for help, if not for help for my family, then for the power to help them myself.
Given that I was doing dishes after that, what happened next is up to you to believe or not. I said earlier in this same topic that an auditory happening would please me above many other things. Well, as I was cleaning above the other sounds of silverware clinking together, I believe firmly that I heard three notes from a wind chime. I'll note I have none around my house, it was completely still outside, and the closest one is several meters away. Call me insane, but I think it was a sign and it was just what I needed to pull me out the severe depression I was falling into.
So truthfully, today was an amazing point in time. Perhaps all this is telling me I need to open up more.
God bless

There are many books that talk about aliens who ahve made earth their visit and possible mingled with people of earth. They have contributed to the knowledge and perhaps the gene pool. They could be a future help or threat, depending on their intent. There are too many things to go into on here but you have my e-mail address for more questions. As far as religion. Some religions hold alien races as Icons. Look into the African Dogons! Rev. TomCat
