We have a tendency as humans to think in terms of dualities and polarities; of an up and a down of a black and a white; and yes, even of a heaven which is up and a hell that is someplace down under. We think we are alive because we can see, hear, and touch this human body of ours; and for most if not all of our lives we see the world and everything in it from that one small perspective. We think: we are alive and that someday we will die and enter the land of spirit. But the truth of the matter is, spirit is not only inside of us right now, but it is the very thing keeping us alive.
So that, when trying to understand the spirit realms it is important for us to grasp the idea that we are spirits first, and humans second. The human body is the temple, the housing for Spirit. It is our temporary home. In other words our life here is finite having a beginning, a middle and an end. Not so in the land of pure Spirit where we are promised a life everlasting; for that is our heritage as children of God. In down to earth simple language that means that we do not have to die in order to have immortality because we are already immortal. What is temperal and transitory is the human body because each one of us has an alloted number of heartbeats. So yes, someday we will leave this world but we do not die. We simply vacate this human body of ours and exchange it for another grandeur body and darn our garments of light. For light we are, and to the light we shall return.
In the bible and in Genesis we read: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters."
What does that mean?
If we equate that to our known sciences, it means that there was a time when the earth was little more than a soup mix having no form and no void. But there was darkness and there was water. We are talking about a time when the universe was still in tact; still whole.
The separation had not yet occurred.
Now listen very carefully to the very next line in Genesis for it says and I quote:
"And God said, "Let there be light;" and there was light. And God saw that the light was good." Now most of us reading that automatically beam into the idea of the light as the very first manifestation in the universe. Well, why shouldn't we for clearly the phrase is shown as a direct quote. God said, let there be light---right! Well okay. But listen again:
GOD SAID: let there be light.
Before the light there was sound or vibration---because we are told, God "said" something.
The author of John's gospel version understood this when he created his logos. If you don't believe me listen to his opening premise. John writes:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
So what do we have... we have a Pre-Existence state where the earth was without form or void and where God's spirit was moving upon the face of the deep. We have darkness, movement, (i.e. vibration) and then a big flash of light as the First Manifesation. We have the Big Bang; the time when the universe came into being as pure energy.
As we read further into Genesis we see that God separated the light from the darkness by placing a firmament, whatsoever that shall mean. But then we are told something very interesting. We are informed that God separated the waters above the firmament from the waters below the firmament. Whatever could that mean, we do ask. Well, most of us think in terms of the sky. We have our oceans, lakes and rivers here on earth, and in the heavens we have the clouds and rain. Yet I have always gotten this sneaky suspicion that the firmament meant something greater... something to do with the universe rather than our small little planet.
We see hints of this in Genesis 1:14 where we are told that God separated the lights in the firmament; the one creating our daylight and the other our night. So we are here talking about celestial bodies of the sun, moon and stars. Okay, I had to ask myself: So where is this water that is suppose to be above the firmament. Where is there water in the heavens above the earth; for clearly we are no longer talking about our earth's atmosphere. We are not talking about the troposphere or the stratosphere in my opinion; but something other.
And so, we continue our reading in the hopes of unlocking some more secrets.
Now I am not going to bore you with biblical quotes for certainly any of us can pick up a bible and read for ourselves. But for purposes of this piece, you will recall that the rest of Genesis chapter 1 talks about God creating mankind (Gen 1:27) in its own image; in the image of the Elohiym (He/She God), created them. This was all done by the sixth day, and by the seventh God took a break and rested. More like it slowed down its movement or that its vibration slowed down. This slowing down might be the equivalent to the scientific cool down process where heated energy begins to cool, creating as it were a form of semi-matter---(a second manifestation, perhaps).
In chapter 2 we are told that there was no one to till the ground. But a mist went out, we are told and this mist watered the whole earth. (Sounds like water to me; or at least a semblance thereof). Then God formed man from the dust of the earth (energy particles). But here is the most important part of Genesis in my opinion, God breath into man's nostrils the 'Breath of Life' and man became a 'living being', we are told. But at this point, man was still in the garden or in a paradise setting. In other words, we are here talking about a Spiritual Man (the first manifestaion of man) or First Man as opposed to an earthly man or a physical man; or we could say the (third manifestation of man). But where is the second? The key to this secret is in the words 'living being'. And what created this living being pray tell, but non other than the Breath of Life.... God's breath to be precise. It is the same breath given to every living creature (Gen 1:30); and it is the same breath that caused the mist to wash over the earth---(water, yes! but in its more gaseous or vaporous state). In the Hebrew this breath is called nephash---but we know it as the soul; and theosophist know it as mother Akashia or astral mist.
So here are the manifestations:
1st. Spirit, which gave rise to Spiritual Man or First Man.
2nd. Soul, which gave rise to Astral Man as a Living Being.
3rd. Physical man who is made in the image of the Spirit and Soul of God.
Read I John, chapter 5, verse 6-8 and you will begin to understand about the real trinity within.

Do you know anything about what will supposedly happen on December 21, 2012. I have heard that all masons have knowledge of this date, especially ones as highly ranked as you are. I know certain people beleive that we will pass through some kind of energy belt and it will change our world in some way. I have never been taught a single thing about Dec.21,2012 by the Masons.
That type of thing is never discussed. The information has been channeled by others in books and seems to be the time when the 3rd dimension will no longer be the same. Possible transformign to a 4th then 5th dimension. The Myan's calender does stop then. I think I remember the Hopi Indians have something about that time as well and I think I remember seeing this information in the Kryon channeled books. As well as Edgar Casey. I do remember reading it several places but don't know if it is true. I am waiting to see. There is something about gamma rays or Photon rays that will change our DNA from a 2 strand to a 12 strand, and we will absorb light for food. Far out stuff right? The Bible says that we all will not die but we will all be changed, in a twinkling of an eye. The bible says not to fear but be ready like if a thief were coming in the night. no one know thye hour. That is teaching that Jesus will come back and all knees will bow and acknowledge that he is King and Lord of the Universe. He will not come back alone this time. There is also information about lightships that will take us up. There is also information about New Jerusalem in the book of Revalations that will be a city that will come down to earth and Jesus will be in it. The is other book information is that this is a mothership and to be the knigdom come, "City of Lights" that is now in another dimension over USA and is soon to come. Lots of information but I cannot say it it the truth. Reads very interestingly and I'm waiting to see. I think we will see much happen in the next 5 years til that time. I think this is the tribulation period and the years 2012 to 2013 is the thousand years of peace that the bible talks about. Do not be concerned. Jesus said, if you cannot change one minute of time, how do you expect to change anything else. He says to trust in God to provide for you and be faithful. Love God with all your heart and Love your neighbors as you would yourself. Be thankful that you have a Loving God. All is as it should be. Rev. TomCat

I also question the spirits or mediums before I can trust their true gift. Perhaps you could have a word from my Grandmother who passed over and we burried thursday? You can start by telling me her first name.
Your assistance would be appreciated. If someone can come up with her first name I would surely would have trust in that medium and know they did have contact.

My condolences as well to the passing of your grandmother and thank you for your invitation to speak with her.
She gave me some information and I would like to confirm it with you.
You might know a term that is called "psychic amnesia". That means that the sitter in the moment of the reading is not able to recognize the information he/she receives and that it comes back later.
When that is the case please give it a moment before you discard any information you receive.
The name she gave me was a name with R. it sounded like..... Ruby.....
She seemed petite in size to me.
She then said ....My boy Thomas. (I know You might think I took this from your forum name, but I am just repeating what she told me.)
She also said the word ....master.
She then told me a date..... Aug 8
The number .....78
And she showed me a dark spot in her heart area
She also said a name that sounded like.... Claire. (possible a family member)
.....She is giving you a key to her house and you go there to pick up a book that looks like a photoalbum.
.......You are taking one photo out of it and put it in your jacketpocket on the right outside.....
My impression was that she was a kind person and that you are still communicating with her.
She showed herself the day after her death when you were having breakfast.
I am sure that you are still in contact with her and you might want to ask her if I am genuine.

Well Annette: I certainly think your heart is in the right place but nothing you said related to my Grandmother except the fact that she did call me "My Tom". I can also fit in the space, that she has a standing Joke that she would call me Tom ass, not Thomas. I mean no harm by reporting this. Perhaps you picked up on someone else and you needed more information to make the connection.
If you would like to try again I would enjoy the communion. I will give you this information, She was in a Hospital in Renovo, Pa. when she died. She no longer had a house.
She had a dog she Loved. Can you tell me the name of the dog? Or can you tell me the town she spent most of here life and with me in the summer? What was a special place she use to take me and how did we get there? Again, I don't mean to discredit you. Some mediums are more accruate than others. The fact that you want to help people without personal gain says a lot for your intent and to me.

Hey RevTom....I have known a few clairvoyants in my life. And I have conversed with people who have "medium" abilities. I don't believe one can "demand" scientific proof, such as "tell me the name of my first pet, etc. and I'll give you the time of day."
I don't believe it works that way.
I think you have to stay open, without making any demands on a person's time or abilities. If someone has a real message from spirit world for you, I'm sure you will receive it, if the request is sincere and without preconceived notions of what manner the communication will take.
I'm not a medium, so I have no messages from your Grandmother.

Well TL ; I have found some Mediums that do come up with names.
The Bible says to test the spirits. Some mediums link up and some just get information. If it fits fine, Bingo. I have not tried to communicate myself because she is so close, I don't trust myself. More fun and spectactlar this way.
I can give you a message as well from my channeling or automatic writing. That does not say it would match up with someone who belonged in your life. I have no doubt in the ability of mediums because I have been given proof from some of my friends who are channels or Mediums. It does not hurt to ask questions or search for proof. I would even question John Edwards or Silvia Brown. They are not always right either. It is my nature to question. Have you not heard of the doubting Thomas?
