The Human Aura

Artists down through the ages have depicted saintly figures with a circular halo of light about the head and sometimes as straight radiating lines. This has also been called the Nimbus or the Crown of Glory. The snake head of Greek Medusa and the Hawk Head of the Egyptian sun god Ra, or the eagle winged Isis can also be seen to depict an auric interpretation.

In John's Revelation, "He beholds a white robed figure with a girdle round his chest, hair of white wool, his eyes as a flame, feet of bronze, his voice the sound of many waters, and in his right hand he held seven stars, and from his mouth issued a sharp two-edged sword." These too, can be interpreted as a reading of auric light. Therefore, the aura about the head can be seen the easiest because of the following main reasons:

  1. Lack of Clothing.
  2. We are in direct line of sight.
  3. Our focal point of attention
  4. Eye and facial contact.
  5. Center for all spinal and nerve-brain activity.

However, the human aura can be perceived anywhere emanating from or surrounding the whole physical form. The aura is a record of every thought, feeling or action, be it past present or future. Be it Physical or Spiritual, that relates not only to this lifetime, but to others as well. Edgar Cayce, the well known sleeping prophet spoke of a record kept, called: the "Book of Life". In Sanskrit and Egyptian terminology, it is said to be the "Akashic Records". The word akashic itself, means light.

The Aura, then, is a record of Living Light. In Latin the word ara means "breath", in the Greek, it means breeze. AU - RO - RA was a Roman Goddess of the Dawn. It is also interesting to note the similarities with the words Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights, which is a luminous display appearing in the night-time sky in various forms as bands, streamers, or arches --- a natural phenomenon occurring in the north pole.

Often the beginning of one's psychic development, the human aura can be felt or intuitively sensed, rather than clairvoyantly seen. How is this possible? Well, have you ever heard such statements as: John has such an air about him --- Doesn't Mary have an electric personality --- I like his vibes --- she's magnetic --- I'm simply drawn towards him --- I don't know why, but so and so simply repluses me --- or she's lively, energetic and has a heart of gold. These are all statements in which we sense the aura.

Have you ever wondered why, that upon certain occasions you either choose or do not choose to sit on certain chairs, for example? Is it possible that on certain occasions that you even avoid places because of an unknown auric emanation present? This is quite possible: For the auric light knows no distance or time.

In general, the aura can be sensed, touched, smelt, heard, tasted or intuitively felt through a variety of means, rather than just by using clairvoyant sight. Our feelings, then, become a very important aid --- and by developing such intuitive qualities, clairvoyant sight may eventually develop.

The aura may be dull, cloudy, or absolutely intensely bright and very phosphorescent. It may shimmer or vibrate to a beat or pulse. It can have shape and form. You may even see pictures, but most importantly: It is always, always in a state of constant motion. Lastly, it can have color.

Everyone sees through his or her own auric light, and this may be the reason for some of the disagreement, even among psychics. It is only through constant work that the truth can be seen, for there is certainly room for misinterpretation.

There are many portions to the Human Aura. This too, plays an important role in the controversy: For each and every person will be in tune to something different. Be it the:

  1. Physical or Health Aura
  2. The Emotional Aura
  3. The Mental Aura
  4. The Spiritual Aura

Be it the Past --- Present --- or Future

In scientific terms or in physics, the human aura has been said to be the electromagnetic field emanating from and around people. This has been proven by the use of Kirlin Photography.

What is electricity? and what is magnetics? and what does this have to do with the aura? Simply put, electricity is light. Magnetics on the other hand, is defined as the force field running at right angels to the electrical field. This can be seen if you were to take a bar of metal, coil a wire around it, pass an electrical current through it, and a magnet with a magnetic force field would be produced.

This is a good analogy to help explain the electrical or 'Light' vibrations of the Human Aura. However, we do not wish to confuse the divine nature of the Auric Light with the Edison light bulb. We only wish to use it here as a reference point in explaining the absolute importance of The Light.

Down through the ages, Light has been a common symbol of *all* religions, and forms the basis of all spiritual doctrines. In the Hebrew Kabballah and in many other Eastern religions, God is referred to as the "Light of Lights". Fourth gospel writer, writing for Jesus said: "I am the Light, the Truth, and the Way." Is it so very blasphemous or heretical for us to say: [*I AM* the Light, also]. No! it is not. --- For without this basic concept, we cannot fully understand the Human Aura.

For it is the reflected light of your soul. It is your Soul's Light! What we do here on earth gets written in indelible light and becomes your soul's possession. What we do in spirit also gets written in our auric light and we then take this with us into our next incarnation. Your soul's light then, travels with you, in Time and also out of time, in the Land of Spirit.

The First Book of Torah
(commonly called):
Genesis

"In the beginning The ELOHIYM (GOD) created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the 'Spirit of God' was moving over the face of he waters. And God said: "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, and one day."

(RSV Gen 1:1-3)

And God created the Cosmic World in six cosmic days, and on the seventh day, God rested, blessed it and made it sacred. The number seven then is a very esoteric and mystical number. It is based upon the number six. The number six is based upon the number three, and the number three is based upon the number one.

In our three-dimensional world, light is also broken up into six component parts to make a seventh or white light, as seen through a glass prism.

We can therefore study the Human Aura by studying light.
