XXXIII--The Savior |
PHASE THIRTY THREE |
THE SAVIOR |
Section I--The Hours of Darkness |
02 And at the ninth hour, that is to say, in the middle of this eerie night, he cried out with a loud voice, saying: Elahh Yasha! [which is: My God, Save me!], for I thirst! 03 And acknowledging his words of adoration, some of the paid mercenaries standing afar off hearing it, said: Behold he that dieth calleth upon God. [But some historians, say; Elias]. |
Section II--Releasing the Ghost |
04 But interceding in his behalf, Miriam our angelic mother, who was standing close to me, correctly interpreted his cry for help, and becometh, in that hour, the angel of mercy; for she quickly took up a pitcher of water and said: Behold he doth thirst for the baptismal waters of life, for he is weary and his throat is parched. 05 And running up to him, as I had done once before, taking the pitcher of water from her hands, and dipping a sponge into the water, I gave him a drink, saying in a soft whisper: Stay with the angels a little while longer, and we shall come to take you down. 06 And having faith in my words, he did drink of it, and crying out with a voice that seemed to be whispering in the wind, he released his ghost, [which is wanting to say: the reaper, fainting, astral projected], for his eyes grew dim, and in this dusty heat, he was dehydrated and exhausted from the time his incarceration began. 07 And the veil of the Temple was rent in two, from the top to the bottom, for every one thought him to be dead. 08 And even the head centurion who stood by him, seeing that crying out in this manner he had released his ghost, said: Indeed this man was the King of Peace! 09 And standing beside Miriam our blessed mother, the wife of Joseph our holy father; there were other passionate women present: Among whom was Anna the mother of John the Baptist; and Naomi of Bethel, who also when he was in Jerusalem followed him and ministered unto his needs. And many other women with their husbands were there. |
