XXXIV--The Redeemer |
PHASE THIRTY FOUR |
THE REDEEMER |
Section I--Mission Impossible |
02 And expecting a miracle, Christ wondered why the King of Peace should be dead, for he neither nailed him to the tree, nor did his feet ever leave the footrest. But sending another centurion, he asked him to go and see if it were true. 03 And when the centurion had returned to the king's palace, and when Christ had understood it by his own centurion, he released the body to my father. And it was the third hour when king Solomon was redeemed from Christ. |
Section II--The Entombment |
04 And having bought the new tomb in the wadi of Beth`an, Simon the father of John the Baptist, with my father took him down; and after redeeming him, they gently wrapped him up in the leftover white linen that I procured from my own house. 05 And they laid him in John's tomb, which was hewed out of rock. And with the help of Simon the serene, who was concealed within, my father and I rolled back the stone to the door of the tomb, for it was very great. 06 And Miriam our blessed mother, and Anna the mother of John the Baptist, and Naomi of Bethel, beheld where he was laid. And then they returned to Jerusalem with my father, because it was the even before the Sabbath. 07 But trying to preserve his soul, I remained outside of the tomb and stood watch. |
