THE ART OF SPIRITUAL PROTECTION

In some of our other documents we have described basic exersizes that were meant as a prelude to the art of meditation. The first was a simple head and neck exercise meant to relieve bodily stress; and another was a breathing exersize to help balance the auric field through the nadis. Two other exersizes are relaxation exersizes. In both, we start at the feet and end up at the top of the head. (See, Relaxation I and Relaxation II ).
All four exersizes are in essence a prelude to meditation; and yes, to our ability to create an aura of spiritual protection before we actually enter into a meditative state. The idea of 'Spiritual Protection' is not a new one; and some of us may not even need it; but if someone is a novice and leary about flying solo, creating an aura of protection is a good positive step to take prior to meditating; and what better time to create that aura of light then when in our relaxation process, we pause at the top of the head to form our connection with the divine.
In a way, the term, 'Spiritual Protection' is the wrong one for us to use; especially when dealing with mystical concepts such as prayer, meditation, trance, and yes, even in hypnosis. Why? Well, the obvious answer is that whenever we pray or meditate or enter into a trance state we want to form a connection with the divine. So whether we call it, God, or our Higher Self, calling this energy to us, is exactly what we want to do. We want to call our 'White Light' to us and have it emanate through us as well as surround us. And if we have this 'White Light' working through us, we can then direct it toward others so that we can be a helpmate to them. We can us it to heal ourselves and others by extending our light onto them, for example. We form a bridge; a real rainbow bridge; between ourselves and the divine, and by extension to others while we act as a channel or an intermediary between ourselves and God.
In some other pages we explained the dynamics of relaxation. They were physical exercises to be sure---and yet not. They are physical exercises because we were dealing with the physical body; and they were not merely physical exercises because we can quickly move to bridge the gap between the earthly and the divine through the knowledge I am about to give you. And it is this: After relaxing... after we have reached the top of the head, we pause and we call down our 'White Light' to us. So that, what we wish to do with this 'Light' is form a connective bridge between this world and the next. Put simply: We relax the body so that we become receptive to the spiritual forces within/without. We change our focus from here to there. How, you may be asking. Well, after we relax the body, we sit quietly, empty our minds, (or relax it, if you prefer), and open ourselves up to the divine forces. This is usually achieved by one simple step. We close our eyes, for example, and eliminate any outside interference. So that, when we reach the top of the head we 1). Close our eyes; 2). Call for our White Light; 3). We listen. But we do it while remaining conscious. Not with earthly mind, but with the 'Mind' of the Creator/Creatrix; because it is 'Mind' that is alive and it is this 'Mind' (or 'Consciousness' if you prefer) that we are attempting to connect to while we meditate. That connection ... that bridge is achieved by this simple but basic step. We call down our light and after we do, we can mold it into a stable shape. To envision this is to create it... and to create it is to manifest it. We create a positive atmosphere in which to meditate and then to act as channels for God. Please to understand... what I am trying to explain to you is extremely vital step, because we are combining the art of meditation with the ability of concentration; both of which are essential ingredients to connecting to our Higher Selves and thence to our God. They are not separate, but in fact, combined. All done, here, at the top of the head... or if you prefer, at the 7th Crown Chakra... the doorway to our Silver Cord and to the divine .
The 'Silver Cord' is the only protection we will ever need. For it is our lifeline to the divine. It has been described throughout the ages as our umbilical cord; the thing that keeps us alive and connected to God. That connection can never be broken because it is eternal. It therefore matters not whether we are here in body or alive in spirit, the Silver Cord will always keep us connected to the divine.
Not being proficient at graphics, I have depicted the Silver Cord as a band or stream of colors. Each color denotes a specific light ray derived from our color light spectrum. They range from red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. In our visible light spectrum all 6 rays combined form our visible light or the light that we see when the sun is shinning. By tradition, we could call it, white light but it is more yellowish than white as seen by the naked eye. Yet the White Light to which I speak, ... the light a clairvoyant might see is beyond description and belongs to the divine. The best that can be done is to describe it as mercurian or transparent in nature. It is pure unadulturated light and is neither hot nor cold.
Each of us is born under one or more rays. My intuit says, three. You will please understand, that I am implying that our karmic purpose for any given incarnation or for this particular incarnation can be found inside of one or more of those three rays. When we meditate, for example, we are connected to the divine through the Silver Cord, yes, but we are also connected to our oversoul, who is guardian of that light ray. So that, if your higher self, be archangel of the blue ray or archangel of the violet ray, you will know you have formed a connection to that higher self, if and when you see that light inside of your head via the use of your third eye. It is often seen as a small point or dot upon first glace but seems to get bigger and brighter as we get closer to it. While attempting to reach this light we will first have to pass through a gateway of portal. That gateway or portal is not stationary or stagnant but is constantly ebbing and flowing and will present itself as a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns. More often then not, this movement of energies has been described as a tunnel or tube. And we sense it as motion through the third eye area. When we reach our destination point, the point of our higher self, (for example), the light will become steady and fixed. It will become brilliant in tone, hue and irredescence. Know then, that you have reached your higher self. When you do, you can ask your questions and your oversoul (i.e., higher self) will be able to commune with you through the Silver Cord, a cord that is not really a cord at all; yet this is the best we can do, to help describe the light of the soul; at this time.
Here is a simple diagram of the 'Tube of Light'. This simple energy pattern can be used to form a spiritual protection around self. It can also be used to form a link between you and your higher self. Use it during periods of meditation or envision the Tube of Light surrounding you as you go through your daily activities. Although I truly believe that we are always connected to the white light of the soul, trying to create this energy pattern via the mind's eye can also help faciliate the art of concentration; and/or visa versa. In other words, we form a stronger link as we learn how to control and manipulate the flow of light. Play with it by designing patterns of your own. For example, use a spiral of energy as shown here or try to envision the Tube of Light as a search light beam being aimed toward you and engulfing you. You can also use this basic shape for healing purposes. As you progress, you may even find that you can move energy by sending it to someone in need of your spiritual assistance. Have fun.
The 'Cone of Light' is similar to the tube and creates a searchlight effect. This simple energy pattern can be used to form a spiritual protection around self. It can also be used to form a link between you and your higher self. Use it during periods of meditation or envision the cone surrounding you as you go through your daily activities. Although I truly believe that we are always connected to the white light of the soul through the Silver Cord, trying to create this energy pattern via the mind's eye can also help faciliate the art of concentration; and/or visa versa. In other words, we form a stronger link as we learn how to control and manipulate the flow of light. Play with it by designing patterns of your own. For example, by a simple stretch of the imagination The Cone can be changed into a Pyramid or any other geometric shape. Use The Cone as a light beam being aimed toward you, engulfing you and completely surrounding you. With a little concentration, The Cone can even be extended to those near you, so that in effect you are protecting them also. You can also use this basic shape for healing purposes. Try stretching this light to engulf a room or a building for example. Have fun.
The 'Pyramid of Light' is similar to the cone. This simple energy pattern can be used to form a spiritual protection around yourself. It can also be used to form a link between you and your higher self. Use it during periods of meditation or envision The Pyramid surrounding you as you go through your daily activities. Have fun.
