My out of body Experience. Age 4 - Hagerstown, Maryland
One summer day, I went with my father to a country pasture where he wanted to go fishing for Trout. There was a stream that snaked around thru the pasture. Some time had gone by and at age 4 years old, I became bored and uninterested in the fishing. I asked my dad when we would be leaving. He said pretty soon. Now it was a nice sunny day and from the creek to the car in my memory was about 40 yards, but at that age, everything seems bigger and longer. With my father's word that we would be leaving soon, I told him I was going to roll up to the car on my side. I began to roll towards the car. after rolling a while, I suddenly felt myself falling and then into cold water. What I had done was not roll straight but made a wide circle in to the creek. There happen to be a tree at the bend of the stream where I went into and I would say the creek was probably 3 or 4 feet deep. As I fell into the cold water I must have had my eyes closed because everything became dark. I remember gasping for air at first but then the panic stopped and I remember thinking I could breath under water. I became warm and comfortable. I had gone down under the roots of the tree. My father heard the splash and ran to find me. He has told me that when he reached me, all that he could see was my hair floating on top of the water. My chin had caught on one of the roots of the tree that kept me from going all the way under the tree. Then I remember being above my father about 15 feet up looking down on him as he pulled me out. What I remember seeing is him throwing me up to the top of the bank on the grass and he climbed up the 4 foot bank. As he climbed his left foot slipped on the muddy bank leaving a slide mark in the dirt from his boot.
In the next instance, My lungs began to hurt and I realized that I was in my fathers arms being held. When I completely came to consciousness, I cried and said," Daddy, Daddy, Thank you for saving my life." He told me later that he was attempting to catch a nice big Trout and almost had it when he heard the splash. If he had not been there, I would not be here writing about it. I didn't see any lights or tunnel. I don't think I was dead yet so that is why that is all I remember experiencing.
