(For Our New Age Blog, Forums and Link Exchange)
We know your privacy is important to you and Cosmeta.com, it's owners and administrators are committed to protecting your information. This website contains several areas. This page will deal with the areas where a membership or login is required.
Tthe only areas where a membership username and encrypted passwords and email addresses are are collected and stored would be in our Blog Area, New Age Forum or Link Exchange. This is done as a normal part of the software login and posting priviledges. We do not under any circumstances share this information with anyone or with any other website. This Privacy Statement does not apply to our New Age Thought Section because that area does not require any end-user participation.
General Maintenance
As a normal course of our General Maintenance a complete backup is made daily to our website along with any software programs that we may use. This is a normal proceedure meant to protect the data should our Server fail. And since I am also the web designer, I also have at my disposal a complete backup of my entire website so that should our Server go done or should we change Servers this site and all of its data is retrievable and will not be lost.
Statistical Information
As part of our normal web site maintance, general statistical data is available to us regarding overal traffic, navigation, site usage, referrals, and hits per page, etc. To accomplish this we may use a variety of software programs including Server based programs or Google Webmaster Tools. But whatever we use, you can rest assured, none of your personal information is ever transferred to any third party website. What we collect is used by us for the sole purpose of our statistical maintenance proceedures.
Legal Information
The only exception to any of the above Privacy Statments, would be in the case of any legal action taken against this web site or its owner(s), administrator(s) on account of any crimminal or illegal activities committed by any of our Membership; including but not limited to any copyright infringement (see the below) made by any member who is in violation of same. In other words, if required by law, Cosmeta.com, its owner(s), and administrator(s) will devuldge the neccessary information if required by federal, state and local governmental agencies or any agency that has legal dominion over the Internet; and/or will take the neccessary and appropriate action to ensure that we do not get ensarled in your own wrongdoing.
Copyright Information
In a general sense, our web site is a distributor of spiritual, metaphycial, and esoteric information but we are not professional journalistic publishers or editors with regard to words written and posted by others. Our Blog and Forums are public areas and we have very limited control over what you submit. We may own the forum yet we do not own your words. Once posted (i.e. published) they are still your words and not ours. You own them and are therefore legally responsible for them and not us. So please be aware of your federal, state and local governmental laws regarding the publication of any written or visual materials---including graphical images; etc. Put simply, obey copyright laws. Having said that, Cosmeta.com, its owners and administrator(s) will promptly remove any post that does not comply with those laws. We also reserve the right to edit any post so that it complies with our rules and guidelines. We shall not be held legally responsible and no action shall be taken against us with regard to copyright enfringements.
