Wind Chimes are like weather vanes! On the practical side they become indicators for current and impending weather conditions. When wind speeds increase the chimes themselves begin to vibrate faster than if there was no wind at all. The more they vibrate the louder and more majestic the sound becomes; sometimes creating an orchestra all their own. And so, after awhile they begin to "chime" together.

What is so amazing about wind chimes is that every wind chime will create a unique sound. This is determimed by the materials used and also by the shape, design and layout of each chime. On the mysical side, however, wind chimes can place us into a transcendental meditative state. And if you don't meditate... Well, they're just nice to have around.
